🤦🏻‍♀️ DO YOU HAVE A TENDENCY TO OVER-I 🤦🏻‍♀️ DO YOU HAVE A TENDENCY TO OVER-INCLUDE?

More isn’t necessarily better, especially when it comes to the group size of social gatherings. But being able to exclude people to keep your event small, isn’t always easy or comfortable.

If you can get over the fact that your friends will still like you even though they didn’t get an invite to one dinner party, you can help shape your event into something more intimate and special. ✨ Here are some tips:

- set an ideal number and stick to it (6-8 is perfect IMO for a dinner party)

- create a running guest list in Notes or another app, with friends and possible invitees so you have a list of people to refer back to.

- don’t over invite just in case everyone does and can make it.

- keep your party simple so you can host more often.

Do you have a tendency to over or under invite? What are your tips to keeping your gathering a manageable size?

This green bean salad is full of crunchy toasted almonds, fried onions, and fresh dill, garlic, and lemon. It can be served chilled, or warm and makes excellent leftovers.

🥑 Creamy, ripe avocado smeared on toasted bread 🥑 Creamy, ripe avocado smeared on toasted bread is always a good idea. But do you know when and how it first started?

Read the link in bio by @taste for an interesting history lesson on avocado toast.
You cooked dinner! Don't say sorry!

🙋🏻‍♀️ Who else is guilty of doing this?

Turns out, your guests will enjoy their experience more if you don’t start criticizing your work, before they have a chance to taste it.

As unnatural as it might feel, be confident in what you serve (even if you burnt the main and undercooked the dessert). You might be pleasantly surprised to find that your guests prefer dry meat and slightly raw cheesecake.

Happy Monday, friends!
